Glass Door…

Our eyes met,
Yours and mine,
Locked together,
Time froze.
Our hearts, beating, yet still,
We were but separated by a mere glass door.

You said I couldn’t love you,
That you were…..
Imperfect.
Different from me in every way.

Ah, how I wished everyday you could have seen yourself through my eyes…

You didn’t trust that my heart belonged to you,
Or that my eyes craved the sight of you.
You didn’t notice how my hands trembled when you stood in front of me…

In the end,
It was alot more,
that separated us,
than a simple,
Glass door…

This little poem is about my first campus love. Need less to say it didn’t work out but I guess he still dwells in my memories somewhere.
